| A company is made through
its people, and our roots date back more than a century. Each and
every employee of Tsuji Heavy Industries has the legacy and grave
responsibility to conduct himself according to the highest ethical,
social, commercial and ecological standards, both in decision-making
processes and daily business. |
 |
| Many of our businesses,
especially those related to the shipping industry, are of a global
nature by definition. The company strongly adheres to the spirit
and contents of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights (December 1948). |

 |
| As a responsible manufacturer
we naturally strictly adhere to domestic and international
legislation concerning the environment. Efforts are made
beyond that, to improve and protect the environment, or lessen
the burdens to it. Our company is involved in a long-time
research project that seeks to reduce the harms of dioxin
and PCB in ashes resulting from waste incineration. During
the summer season we cooperate with adjacent Kyushu Electric
Power Co., Inc. by operating our factory during the weekend
instead of weekdays, to reduce electricity consumption during
peak hours/days. Our staff regularly participates in volunteer
clean-up activities within our prefecture and municipality. |
 |
| Where possible/applicable
we also strive in our factories and offices to |
 |
 |
- consider environmental
factors in our design and manufacturing
- reduce consumption of energy and materials
- reuse and recycle materials
- reduce, separate and properly dispose of waste
- properly maintenance our facilities to prevent potentially
polluting accidents
- use less- or non damaging alternative energy and
materials
- distribute information related to environmental issues,
raise awareness
