| A while ago I came across
an old calligraphy, written by my father in his typical powerful
style. It reads in Chinese characters "The Road is Infinite". I
often wonder what my father was thinking when he jotted down those
words. |
|
|
| More than a hundred years
have passed since my family started its first large company, and
it certainly has been an "infinite road". Our businesses have always
been closely connected to the sea, from the nineteenth century
when we made commodities for the navy and local shipyards, until
today, where we have become the leading marine cargo-handling equipment
manufacturer. Now the Group is also active in a variety of fields
such as construction, trading, import/export, computer software,
advertising and the leisure industry. |
